Highlighting

Wordpress tells users to update their software when a new version of the code has been released. It does this by displaying an update message across the top of the Wordpress administration panel.

As shown in the screen shot below, the update message is highlighted using a background colour that is different from those used in the surrounding elements. This allows users to clearly distinguish between the update message and other administration panel features.
